Who are we looking for?

We are searching for a Senior Node.js Developer to join our VFG Consulting vertical.

As a Senior Node.js Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and efficient applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js/NestJS.

Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services.

Implement and optimize GraphQL APIs where applicable.

Work with databases, ensuring efficiency and performance (SQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Ensure security best practices, including authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.).

Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and reliability.

Implement caching strategies using Redis or similar technologies.

Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure seamless API integration.

Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

Troubleshoot and debug production issues effectively.

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.

Work with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js.

Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

Expertise in Express.js, NestJS, or Fastify.

Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.

Proficiency in RESTful API and GraphQL development.

Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms like JWT, OAuth, SSO.

Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).

Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Experience in unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) using Jest, Mocha, or Chai.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Nice to have

Experience with Serverless Framework (AWS Lambda, Firebase Functions, etc.).

Knowledge of WebSockets and real-time applications.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Knowledge of blockchain or Web3 technologies.

English advanced proficiency.
